We’re on summer break this week, so no new episode. But in the spirit of summer-time reruns, we’re re-releasing one of our favorite older casts. In this one, we’re joined by Sean Young, and we talk all about the Oculus Rift.

The guys have been playing way too many games since they started talking about indie games. This week we sit down and just ramble about the games we played. Matt can never say Crypt of the Necrodancer so instead we talk about using the dark arts for interior design. We also talk about cool new games.

This week:
Hero Siege: Diablo inspired arena rpg. Very fun multiplayer including couch multiplayer
Crypt of the Necrodancer: Rougelike/Rhythm game with fun flavor
Project Gorgon: Indie old school MMO in the style of Asheron’s Call meets Ultima online
Yum Yum Yummy: Fun and unique puzzle game. Just started a kickstarter
Guacamelee: One of the free PS4 games. Lite metroidvania with fantastic flavor and addicting brawling combat.

Gucamelee has beautiful art and fast paced combat

We’re talking about real nerdy stuff but more than usual this time cause it’s pen and paper rpgs. Maybe not so secretly, pen and paper role playing is our favorite form of gaming. So much so, that Nathaniel has a regular game with his cats. It’s a Skyrim campaign and they’re all Argonians.

In this cast we talk about what pen and paper RPGs are and give advice for how you can get started playing them.
